PayGo & end-user finance

The machine pays for itself. We built the financing to match.

Rural customers do not fail for lack of demand. They fail for lack of upfront capital. Our PayGo technology and NBFC partnerships turn every DDSolar machine into a financeable, recoverable asset.

The problem we solved

Demand was never the problem. The upfront price was.

A solar fridge or a solar mill earns its owner money every day, but the upfront price stops most rural buyers before they start. So we built financing into the product itself. Over 400 end-user loans later, many to first-time borrowers, our financing stack is as much our product as the hardware.

How PayGo works

From the first small payment to full ownership

Five steps take the customer from the first small payment to owning the unit outright, with the lender seeing repayment data the whole way.

Pay as you go. Own it in the end.

  1. 1

    Down payment

A small down payment, and we install the unit at your site

  2. 2

    Monthly EMI

Paid by NACH auto-debit to our NBFC lending partner

  3. 3

    Unit stays on

Each payment keeps the patented PayGo control (572023) unlocked, via the Angaza platform

  4. 4

    Usage monitored

IoT telemetry (patent 575561) shows runtime and payment status remotely

  5. 5

    Lender sees receivables

Transparent repayment data lets NBFCs finance first-time borrowers

Repeat every month until the loan is repaid, then the unit is yours.

400+ end-user loans mobilised, including concessional finance for women through SHG channels.

Why lenders say yes

Three granted patents make a DDSolar machine an asset a lender can underwrite

That is why our customers get approved when other equipment loans get declined.

IoT fleet telemetry

Patent 575561. IoT-enabled units report remotely: collections intelligence for the lender, uptime proof for you.

PayGo control

Patent 572023. Open-token pay-as-you-go, Angaza-compatible, so receivables sit cleanly on lender books.

Common questions

Financing, answered

What exactly is PayGo?

Pay-as-you-go control built into the unit. You make a down payment, then pay a monthly EMI by NACH auto-debit to our NBFC lending partner. Each payment keeps the unit unlocked, and when the loan is repaid the unit is yours. The technology is our own (granted Indian patent 572023) and is compatible with the Angaza platform used by lenders worldwide.

I have never taken a loan before. Can I still qualify?

Very likely, yes. Over 400 end-user loans have been mobilised through our programmes, many to first-time borrowers. Lenders assess your trade and repayment ability, not just a credit file, though a signed CIBIL consent form is part of every application.

What is the difference between PayGo and a straight EMI loan?

Both are EMI loans from our RBI-registered NBFC lending partners, paid by NACH auto-debit. On a PayGo solar refrigerator, the built-in lock is tied to repayment, which helps lenders approve first-time borrowers. Atta chakkis, oil expellers and Commercial & Industrial rooftop systems are financed as straight equipment loans, secured against the machine. Interest rates depend on your credit profile, and all charges appear in your sanction letter.

Is there financing designed for women entrepreneurs?

Yes. Concessional finance is available to women through SHG channels, and several of our programmes are 100% women-led.

What do I need to apply?

Basic KYC documents and a signed CIBIL consent form (download it above). Tell us your trade and district, we match you to the right machine and lender, the lender approves, and installation follows.
